Anyone had experience with this headset? Its came with a frame I am looking to build up. Currently the frame has CroMo forks which, ideally, I want to swap with some carbon forks.
However, the headset looks quite a nice piece of kit. Its a 1" Aheadset. Can I assume that I will be able to source a set of carbon forks that will allow me to utilize this headset or will I need to think again?

I've no experience of Stronglight aheadsets, but have used their threaded 1 inch A9 headset on my tourer and tandem for many years. It's been fantastic.0

I have this headset on my race bike. I'm using it with a Look HSC 3 carbon fork (and steerer). It is a good headset. You will need a suitable top cap to keep everything tight if you go for a carbon steerer; M:parts (madison) do a nice one that you should be able to get anywhere.
So you can use essentially any 1" ahead carbon fork with it.
You can get new needle bearings as spares if you need them too. Just don't overtighten the set up...0
