Hi All,
As promised, details of the ride this Sunday( 17th).
Starts from St. Agnes main car park( library ) at 09.30 promt, less walkers& dogs!!!!

the ride is a loop of about 15 miles on coast path and stoney/ rocky singletrack. Sharp climbs and some loose rocky descents push the grading towards a 3 so not a beginners ride.

1= easy technical/ effort, 2= quite demanding/ some technical, 3= harder climbs/ more technical/ greater fitness. ( based on XC riding )

a Great little loop that will keep you concentrating.
weather looks fine, hope for a good turn out.
cheers all

Dave.

timmo come on my ride week after .Sunday 240208
graded 1 technical . from truro.
don't ride from Illogan though
  • Hi lee
I will be there for your ride on the 24th, looking forward to it .
    cheers Dave
  • Thanks guys for the interest in the riding still. It's a level 3 ride on Sunday starting at St Agnes (set by Dave). I'm sure its going to be good as Dave has rode the route and says it's brill for the more skilled rider. Some of you have bike events or weddings to attend this Sunday but hopefully we'll see you all again the following week. lee is going to even the riding level out by setting a grade 1 ride for the week after so every one can attend, perfect !!

I need rides set for 2nd, 9th and 16th of March. Can anyone committ to leading the group through their favourite countryside?? I'd really be very grateful to anyone agreeing to set rides on these dates. Please PM me with the time, date, location, grade, and a short write up. Soon as poss thanks.

We almost have our own website so we can post all the rides photos, news and events on there for all to see.

I have had good response to having a club card and members can have a respectable discount from some local bike shops.

However, so we can be a club, insurance is vital and i have been hunting all week to sort it. It's not looking too expensive and most of the benifits look well worth having and i can't see the freestyle fun atmosphere of the group changing.

We will be able to have all the cool stuff like club T shirts, club events , club card+discount, club web site etc. And when we orgnise charity events or turn up to other events we will be an impressive bunch and interest more riders.

Hope to see as many as poss on Sunday at Dave's ride.

    Andy.
  • LHance,
i will be there for that! and yes your right, ii wont be riding in for it! but instead will try and drag the wife out of bed early to drop me off! i'm sure she'll be thrilled at the thought! ;)

Andy, sounds great matey! well done!

This might seem like a long shot, but I would like to try a 30-40 mile ride.

I know it sounds stupid, but I am thinking of entering the Newnham 90 (or 50 in my case) and would like to see if I can ride that far first!

Would anyone be up for a l_o_n_g ride?

Road riding on a MTB - go wash your mouth out!

Hoping to get a road bike soon (ish), but want to have a go at an enduro distance off road.

How about doing something 1st/2nd w/e in April. Could poss use it as a club ride (if there are any more takers).

BTW - meeting Wed night at 6.30?
Looks like might have 1 more with me.
