Shorter grips on a grip shift bike?

Hello
Need to change the grips on my Dahon Speed P8.
Not a huge amount of handlebar room and have an SRAM grip shift.
So, who sells decent lock-on grips in a shorter length?
Or, can I cut down the lock-ons and still have them work.
Or, finally, do I ditch the lockons and just buy a normal shifter?
Thanks
Adam

Buy normal grips, cut to fit and "glue" them on seems easiest? Hairspray is OK. Or aerosol paint. Small zip-ties would also work I imagine?d.j.

My lbs is a Dahon dealer and he sells these, don't know if they would fit but would be amazed if they didn't. They are on holiday, back next tuesday. Martin or Jackie should be able to sort any problems you have.
