XC Riser Bar
Bleedproof

I've had my new Giant XTC1 for around a week now, but with work commitments I've only just been able to get out on it this weekend.
As I'm a pretty tall chap at 6'7" there was always the possibility that I would need to look at my stem and bars, this was confirmed on my short ride this weekend. I'm finding that the stock bars are a little short and that half on my palm ends up hanging over the end of the bars as I ride. This is proving to be quite painful.
I've been looking at some shallow riser bars, which while being wider should also help with my position and handling.
The question I have is: Which ones and how high?
I'm looking at the Race Face Next Low riser XC bar and wondered what anyone thought?
I'm looking to keep the weight down as this is already a very light bike for the XL frame size and would like to keep this way.
What does anyone think of this set: RACE FACE CARBON
How many models do Race Face have? Are they just different rise amounts, i.e. 1 inch vs 1.5"
Any help would be great as I'm a little unsure.
Cheers

The Race Face ones are brilliant, especially if you're buying the standard diameter ones from CRC there.
I've got them on my Anthem and love them.0 -
As you're a larger bloke, you might benefit from OS bars as they should be stiffer as they are larger. I'd recommend the EA70 or the carbon ones if you have money to burn.0

I also own a Giant Xtc 1 and i suffered the same problems as i measure up 6' 3" so ditched the factory aluminium bar and replaced it with a Monkeylite DH Carbon bar. After fitting it i havnt looked back but like what ride_whenever said, it depends on your budget. I was thinking about purchasing the RaceFace Next LR but i ended up splashin an extra £20 to get the sturdiest bar on the market, plus pretty lightweight too, if you can afford it, go for it0
