  • bigger spanner, if not.

Remove cranks, then arrange cranks so you can remove the pedal by pushing down on the spanner. Also are you sure you are removing them the right way, the both unscrew in the same direction, ie one is anti-clockwise as you face and the other is clockwise, if you see what i mean.
  • nop, still stuck :? I'll give up! I'm like that since yestarday!!!! :x
Any way thanks for the help.

  • scaffold pole, loads of leverage.

Also leave it soaking in WD40/plusgas overnight, ideally somewhere away from sources of ignition. that'd help.

tie a rope round the spanner, that can also help. basically make the lever as long as you can.
    i ride a hardtail
  • i second the plus gas (dismantleing fluid), helped me reove a very stuborn bb!
if you have a bench vice then you could hold the pedal in the vice and use the arm as leverage??

tie a rope round the spanner

I thought you were then gonna say, tie other end to door and slam!!

I'm in the most strange of moods today!!:lol::lol:
  • I had similar with mine. Slipped and sliced open my hand on the chainring!

If you have a proper pedal spanner (I have) then try holding it at the base (where the pedal axle is) with a towel around it, then whack it repeatedly with a hammer.
Or get a scaffold pole, stick it over the spanner and get a tonne of leverage.

Either way, it's a pain in the backside.
