No puncture tyres?

Hello, after having plenty of punctures the last two years almost every month and mostly the rear tyre I am thinking to change tyres brand.
I ride with Michelin Crylion Crabon 700x25. I am considering Continental Ultra Gatorskin or Schwalbe Marathon Plus.
Marathons are good but twice the weight, how good are the Gatorskins, any other suggestion?

Everyone loves the Marathons, but they are extremely hard to get on! Get the LBS to do it. Plus, they have the reflective sidewall, which is a good plus.
I have Specialised Armadilloes, which are pretty good - you need to hit a big piece of glass straight on to puncture them.0 -
The only completely puncture-free tyres are the solid rubber ones, c.1890's0

Before I purchased my Marathon Pluses, I spent about 2 hours online doing "research"on different cycling fora. The primary criterium was punture protection. What I found is that there are a few good tires out there, but on this criterium M.Pluses outweight the nearest rivals by a huge, massive margin (even the more expenisve ones!) Of all the stuff I bought for the bike, they were the best "investment" by a mile.
Also, I found them the easiest tires to put on. I have the 25mm ones, 700C.0 -
I use Specialized All Conditons Pro's, never a puncture in 6000 miles. Marathon Plus are probably the ultimate, Gatorskins are puncture resistant in name only (Conti tyre rubber is too soft and perhaps too thin, and cuts up easily in my experience).
Whatever you use, proper inflation to decent pressures with a track pump is essential to minimise punctires.0 -
You might like to consider Bontrager race lite hardcase too, probably on the heavy side for competition but as tough as old boots. Currently a tenner a throw from Allterraincycles.

Used a pair of Gator Skins on my commute bike for 5 months. They are more resistant to punctures than proper road racing tyres but they do puncture and are a pain to get on and off.
I wont buy another pair when they are done.0 -
I just accept puctures.
Had two last week (both times caused by smacking into potholes in the dark)
Adds 10 minutes to the trip
They are first for ages though.
I'm using the last of a wee stock of Conti TT2000's i had - probably swap to Panaracer Paselas (again easy to change) after these wear out.plus je vois les hommes, plus j'admire les chiens

I've had Armadillos for a few months now (700cx25). I was having a bad run for punctures before I fitted them, but I haven't had any since. Not too hard to fit either.0

Schwalbe MP have served me well, no punctures in over a year (approx 1500 miles) and I ride on all terrains. A couple of points;
1. I did not notice the extra weight of these tyres, my ride seems exactly the same as it did on the previous regular tyres.
2. They were very easy (yes, easy) to fit. I know other folks have had trouble but on my rims (700 x 32c) they fitted in 10 mins without any tools. I just hope I don't have to take them off, ever!0 -
Can't beat 26x2.10 MTB knobbies, IME.
It also helps to never say, write, or think about the word I will only render as 'p*nct*re'.0
