Should I be please or disappointed?
On the one hand I'm pleased that I've finally made the effort to ride to work.
On the other hand, it's the 2nd week of February and I should have been riding to work before now...

Same here. I was knackered when I got back home. Must be getting old or something!

Well cycled in, went to the gym at lunch and then cycled home. The only thing that got me was the cold on my legs/feet/hands on the way in and the cold air making my breathing slightly laboured... but I will see how I feel in the morning......
A couple of weeks ago the wind and rain was sooo bad I wouldn't have made it... lolCheers

Been commuting all year - for 6 yrs now. Only very high winds will make me think twice, everything else just gives extra smug points!0

It's the high winds that kill me, it's all uphill on the way home, couple this with high wind it makes a nasty ride home.
Today will be my third day on the trot this year, and it seems to be getting progressively colder - IS THE COMMUTING GOD GIVING ME SOME PAYBACK FOR NOT RIDING IN THE WIND AND RAIN????????
RichCheers

I had my first cycle commute of the year yesterday. In fact it was the first time I'd cycled to work since October  Still it wasn't too bad as I've been out on my bike most weekends through the winter plus going to the gym so my fitness level is pretty goodFlying Scot? You must be joking!0

I have to say that since Ive had my bike in August I have used public transport to get to work twice!
Even then I was very quickly reminded of why its so much easier to cycle to work than to rely on public transport...so much so that even though I was literally in my death bed with the cold I jumped back on my bike to get to work!
So since November, I have not used public transport once to get to work!
My aim is to not have to use public transport at all this year to get to work!
