OK, I'm in the market for a set of XC Race wheels. Looking at spending about £300/350 Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.
Which companies have people used for building their wheels.. Just wanna try and get an idea who's out there and some feedback on various places.

I know the guy who runs 'Wills Wheels' my bro used to work there and ride in the same teams as him. But, he's a specialist with a reputation in road wheels... not sure about mtb wheels. I could ask though i guess...'to give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift' Steve Prefontaine

Buy a wheel jig and do them yourself!
Maybe not a good idea to learn on your best set of wheels, but once you learn how to build a wheel you'll be amazed how it's not that difficult.0 -
XTR hubs worth a look, very light.0

mavic wheelsets also get a good rating
Often they do, i usually get the BMX/freeride/DHiller at mine to build them totally bombproof. But I can also testify to the quality of merlin, now on my third set, of which i'd imagine they are all still running true (one has been stolen). They arrive properly tight and last so well.
I'm pretty sure getting spares for mavic is still a real pain0
