quite good family riding inside and can ride up to riding centre just outside. main road its on A66 not for riding on as lorries thunder along to/from scotch Corner to M6. some quiet lanes and river vallet just north west and can also take bikes over to lakes and grisedale etc. I think you can ride out westward by riding centre but didn't try it as no bridleway and pretty busy with kids anyway
  • cool thanks for that, much appreciated! grizedale always worth a trip!

Get the map out and string a route together! The Eden Valley is well blessed with bridleways so it shouldn't be difficult. If you get out of the park try the little road which runs through the Cliburn area towards Weatheriggs - it's Red Squirrel country and bikes are any easy way to spot them as they don't hear you coming!

  • cool, sounds good mate thanks very much for that..only thing with planning routes is cant tell how easy or hard the terrain is (or how technical) for the mississ!! on the cliburn way is that all on a road or bridleway ? sounds good and not too far from the grounds
