Cant get tyre bead to seat
Hi All,
This problem has been driving me crazy all afternoon and I've tried everything I can think of.
I just got a brand new Specialized All Condition Pro Armadillo and evry time I fit it and pump it up I get a bulge where the valve is. Its a planet x A357 rim. I'm pretty experienced when it comes to maintenance so I dont think I'm doing anything REALLy stupid.
For a while I thought the bead was sitting on top of the tube but I've checked that. I can find no obvious cause for this bulge. Any ideas?

have you checked the integrity of the tyre it happens to car tyres a lot when the tyre is damged the internal beading material may be damaged0

Do as before and give the tube a few strokes of the pump. Stop and push the valve into the tyre and reseat the tyre and carry on pumping up. When red in the face or the tube goes bang STOP.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

push the valve into the tyre so the beads sit on the rim...0
