Hi need advice

Just come back from a 6mile round trip and the palm of my hands are kiling me it felt like i am realy leaning forward on m bike (specialized hardrock sprt)is there anythink i can do to solve my problem.thanks Paul.

    Mitts or gloves help, i had this first time out on a trail now i always wear a pair of padded gloves or mitts its the grip fear factor thing!

    Other thing to check is when you sit on the bike is everything comfortable, like they say check the cockpit, right length to handlebars not cramped or too tight, but this should of been checked when you brought the bike
  • I get the same problem. Never get it on my road bike because i rest on the brake hoods. However, on flat bars i think you compress the nerves near you wrist after a while . If i'm riding technical stuff it doesn't happen as i'm moving my weight all the time, but if doing a road section/fireroad section i have to keep moving hands about

    I used to get really dry hard skin at the bases of my fingers because they were constantly being rubbed against the rubber bar ends. A good pair of padded gloves will help, but if they aren't padded they don't work as well.

    I brought some specialized padded goves and they work a treat thanks for all your help..
