Upgrade to carbon rigid fork?

I'm currently using a pair of kona project 2 jump forks (they're reassuringly tough) on my GT Zaskar team. I was thinking of getting some carbon forks to save some weight. My normal ride is 50% road, 50% off road. I'm 6'5" and weight 96kg, would carbon forks be strong enough for me? As I'm paranoid about the forks randomly snapping on me!

If they say on the manufacturers website that theyre tough enough then they should be.
Although I think youd be really surprised at how light a set of alloys can be.0 -
Also take a look at the kona p2 triple butted - lighter than many carbon forks and smooth ride0
