Giant XTC SE : Bottom Bracket

After a few too many 'bumps' and having a habit of never sitting on the seat i'm in desperate need of a new bottom bracket and cranks.
I was looking to purchase the parts online as my local bike shop doesn’t stock any ISIS or octalink parts, which look like they might survive a little longer than the standard square tapered ones!!
Unfortunately i have no idea about bikes technically and was wondering if anyone knew the sizing of the bottom bracket and crank assembly of a Giant XTC SE? If not are you able to give me any guidance as to how I might go about finding out the measurements or parts that may be suitable? Remember it can't remove the bottom bracket which makes it hard to measure.
The bike in question is here:

Thanks in advance for your help

measure the bb shell, (could be 68 or 73mm) will be 68mm. and the rest depends on what cranks you get.
so what are you going to get?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I was hoping for some advice as to what cranks would be best. I seem to go through the square ones pretty fast so i'm thinking the ISIS/Octa ones are the ones i should be looking at.
Other than that i wouldn't really know what i'm looking for. I'm looking at spending ~£110 (max) on parts as i only really use my bike to get to the gym now. Cheapest i can get without compromising too much i guess.

Thats my first guess at what might work. Any comments?0 -
i would then look at a HT 2 or an Xtype or possibly an shimano Octalink, but if you are eating Square taper bb's do not consider ISIS as they do not last as long."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
