what rims

I have an 07 stumjumper and i want to upgrade the wheels i ride a mix of xc and trail centres including quite a lot of black, i am going for hope pro2 hubs i was wondering if anyone could reccomend me some rims please

    Mavic EX729s on pro 2s. Get them made by Merlin! Very nice!!

    Mavic XM719's are very good, make sure you get them built be a good wheel builder such as Merlin / Stif / http://www.wheelpro.co.uk/

  • i ride the same and am gettin hope pro II and XM719's strong and not too heavy. built through merlins too

    you might also want to consider the xt 775 hubs.

    EX729's are total overkill for what you want, believe me I have them laced on Hope Big'Uns!

    I would recommend XM719's on proII's, im building a new bike for the sort of riding you do and that is one of my considerations.

    i have got hope pro2 hubs i have gone for 819xm disc so i can opt for tubless if i want
    (see tubless tyres in the forum)
    have not had them laced yet due to cracked frame but soon as i get her back they are being done
