I broke my collarbone going off that jump. I've just shown the good folk here at work, you (or your mate) make it look really safe.

    :(

Off there again on Sunday, shall be avoiding too much freeride silliness.

Wasn't me, I did the smaller one, eventually but thought better of the other ones.

You looking for extra numbers on Sunday?

There is a rollover to the left of that that takes you down the same slope, really good fun, nice and easy. You should check it out.

  • I prefer the climbs at Afan (The Wall) they are mostly fire roads which make it really easy. Although they are steeper.

But after going to Cwncarn the downhill are pretty amazing, they flow really well and the jump section at the top is a bit of fun.

Hmmm, might have to vote Cwmcarn.

Cool I like the way they have different sized jumps so useless people like myself could work up to the bigger ones. They werent there when I went. The XC course was brilliant. Even though it was chucking it down it was fine as no mud, just stones and grit although I did go through a brand new set of V brake pads in the 8 miles, made the last downhill interesting with the levers into the bars! Must return with decent brakes!
  • Yeah definatley, disc brakes are almost a must in wet muddy weather!

I'd be interested in people's views, I'm not a web designer so I'm learning as I go.

Cwmcarn is much better for the downhill. The tracks are flowy and fast and very well designed!

I can't believe you didn't ride the corkscrew! It's so much fun.
And the biggest drop just before it is just as easy as the middle one. Beleive me, I wussed out 1st time I went there coz of the wind. But when you hit it, it's a piece of piss.
The wall ride is a little more difficult, but after a few stacks, you get the hang of it.
Just hit it fast & huck it. lol (then crash) (but that's what pads are for)lol
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
