Getting details from a reg number

I know its been shown here before, but could somebody kindly remind me where and how i can plug a reg number into a website to get any info on it.

You can get the make, model and year details from The RAC vehicle check page - you don't need to pay the £5 unless you want more info. If you need to trace the owner of a car then the DVLA web site can help you.0

Didn't know about that RAC site, pretty neat
The owner's details are protected under the Data Protection Act but that didn't stop several DVLA employee's flogging details on the side a few years back...0 -

You can get registered keeper information from the DVLA for a small fee providing you have "reasonable cause" - there is a form here0 -
the RAC website isn't 100% accurate,
it's got my car and my friends car listed incorrectly, mine on year of registration, his on engine size
make and model is correct for both, which i guess is what you're after.My signature was stolen by a moose
