Morning Cheesey.
Ahh, Ramsgate, great place. If it's sunny, make sure you go round the model village! One of my favourite places from my childhood!
Gorgeous morning here, so typically I'm stuck inside doing some paperwork! (Which is obviously done quicker by me mucking around here ) Still, I should be outside in the sun soon to make a big hole in the bottom of someones boat!
Got my freehub apart, serviced and back together yesterday, so now to rebuild the axle, refit the wheel, true it a little, and generally service the bike before Sunday's ride.
The Meon Valley MTB club has been in existence for 1 year this weekend, so it's a massed anniversary ride. I've only been along for five rides, so should be good to meet lots more people.
The good/bad news is the wedding reception Saturday evening. Luckily it's close to home, but I'm still concerned about getting up Sunday morning! As mentioned on another thread recently, hangovers are getting worse!Proved by testing to be faster than a badger.

Doing a few odd jobs on the bike - the rear mech has been playing up recently! Should be at college but have a stinkink cold. Tinkering with the bike isn't too uncomfortable though!
Will spend most of the weekend sorting out the garage so I'm organised for a full strip and replacement of parts on the bike next week. Not very exciting but better than staying indoors with my sisters freind round :?
One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other.0 -
Night riding tonight followed by a bit of birthday pressies shopping for the mrs tomorrow. Then I'll be decorating to gain browni points.Advocate of disc brakes.0

Today shall involve a xc ride on the Patriot, i'm going to die. Although I can't wait for the downs.0

Hello all, is certainly a lovely day. Just got a bike computer for the first time so imagine I'll spend tomorrow buggering that up! Planning to ride the Downs Link later in the year so probably do a couple of hours on that Sunday, not very taxing I know but thought there and back (about 75 miles) should provide a challenge!0

Supposed to out around Calderdale tomorrow, just getting over a stinking cold though so I might end up collapsing. On a more positive note the weather forecast for up here looks pretty good (although they do have a habit of changing the forecast every couple of hours )It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
afternoon all, had a reet day riding at a bikepark on loch ness, apart from a big fall on a wallride and not having the balls to do some of it due to nearly gale force winds0

I had the classic morning today, riding in on the MTB to make sure it all feels right after after a bit of work.
I come to the bridge over the river where i usually drop down the bank to get going on my weekend local ride.
Very neally made a correct...
I mean wrong turning and headed into the woods
Everyone seems to have a cold atm, Im just getting over mine (thankfully) so i should be good for my first ever race on sunday *touches wood*Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)
Merlin single malt fixie (Commuter/winter/training)
Trek superfly 7 (Summer XC)
Giant Yukon singlespeed conversion (winter MTB/Ice/snow)
Carrera virtuoso - RIP0 -
Alright lads!
I am feeling very well at the moment. It seems like I was in constant "cold" state over the Christmas period.
(Guerilla Monsoon Rap just came on the iTunes on random, it is great if you love Hip-Hop. Talib Kweli, Quality if you're interested)
Anyway - Today was a great day for me, good news at work about my bonus for 2007, a fine day outside, and knowing that my frame is finally here!
Just waiting for easyG's lazy a-r-s-e to get the last bits of his build (he has had since September), then they'll both be off to Stif to get built up, I can see the finishing line at last!
Glad to see members still here posting away.0 -
Excellent news on the build!
Glad that it finally turned up - worth the wait isn't it??
Of and good news on the bonus - just don't go and blow it all on X0 kit
So, you have all the kit for your bike and waiting for Easy eh?0 -
Glad to see some proper activity on here!
Yeah I got all the bits just apart from the tyres - They have probably been the most discussed bit on the bike TBH!
I'm going to plump for High Rollers in 42 super tacky and see how I get on. Think easy is off for Nobby Nics.
Can not wait to pick both bikes up once they've been built up - I think we'll apply to put em in the mag in the readers bikes bit?0 -

Why not.... (readers pics) I was thinking about doing it with the mythic (before it gets dirty!!!)
Tell Easy that the Nobby Nics are a great tyre - I am running them on my Attack Trail (2.1s)
Will you be doing any road riding? if so you probably don't want to go for the super tacky.... (Im having tyre issues at the mo)
Maybe a single ply instead 60a

No road riding at all Cheesey, just purely off road. I forgot I asked a couple of sellers on eBay about some other tyres and they have come up trumps. So it looks like its Panaracer Cinders 2.25, they are purely black and white, whereas the High Rollers have yellow on them which doesn't feature anywhere on the whole build.0
