PMSL at this offering from the Fat Cyclist:

6 Your body needs to change.
As a mountain biker, you've no doubt noticed it's quite helpful to have not just strong legs, but strong arms as well. Roadies, on the other hand, regard their arms as a necessary evil, their sole function being to keep their chests from falling onto the bike's stem.

It's a well-known fact that roadies bind their arms to their sides when not riding bikes, doing everything they can to facilitate the atrophy of these non-contributing limbs.

I like it - although I must have missed the bit about strapping my arms to the side of my chest (17" at the moment) so perhaps that explains why I am going so slowly.

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!

Can anyone tell me what short of hand gestures are appropriate when a loonie cuts you up and hurls abuse at you, and then you catch them at the lights and they realise that you are actually a lot larger off your bike than you look on it, and they wind their window up and panic when you try the door handle, resolutely not looking at you or pretending to know you are there.... :?:
