Hey.

Just a quick post calling all riders from Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.

We've set up a website/forum for all things MTB.

http://www.themountainbikers.co.uk
Forum

We'd be interested in people's opinion's, if poss could you have a look round and pass on
comments, either on this thread, on my forum or by the contact us page.

The site is new but we're hoping to get a few more members and get some more riding done.

Everyone welcome, beginners especially!

Cheers

f.

  • non-existant :D
we rode ashton court last weekend and i bent my saddle :( found the amazing jumps/trails etc off in some woods somewhere. a friend was navigating heh.
weekend before was swinley forest next to Bracknell/ Reading. and normally its cwmcarn, afan, forest of dean. in cheltenham theres a few bits on leckhampton hill and cleeve hill.
riding forest of dean this weekend and want to get just south of bristol soon to have a go on the trail mentioned in the latest what mountain bike. forgotten where it is.

    any other recommendations?
  • good work on bending your saddle, the bristol woods with the jumps ect sounds like still woods! Loads of stupidly big stuff and some really nice flowing dowhill, I've been there once but have no idea how to find it again

Bristol mainly does consist of Ashton Court, and surrounding woods, Leigh Woods, 50 Acre and Blaise, some of the guys on the forum know loads more than me, I'm still pretty new to the scene.

We've riden Afan a fair bit, although I am now refusing to go! You'll see from the Old Rides section of the forum I tend to break my bike everytime I go! Also ridden Cwmcarn a few times, couple of of went last Wednesday and had a really good ride. Bumped into Doddy doing a photo shoot as well! (nice!)

Haven't done FoD yet, really keen to get out there and check it out.

One of the guys from the forum is advertising a ride on the 30th March in his local area might be pretty close (my geography is sh**)
