So... it's that time of the year again: self-induced deprivation and misery :D
Anyone got any good ones this year?
I have to say I'm sticking with the classics of chocolate and booze and today was rather hard...

I'm giving up/drastically reducing the cola for the sake of my waist line and teeth....didn't touch a drop of it in work today :D
I'd rather walk than use Shimano
  • I'm gonna go for Diet Coke. I'm trying to ween myself off it but it's too addictive. I don't eat chocolate or drink so it's the only thing I can think of.

both me and millie have decided to give up swearing

only happens when stressed, but since we both work with children a lot (she's a child nurse so stressed and working with children at the same time most of the time) it's possibly best if we're not prone to swearing

she's contemplating giving up alcohol for lent but she's done that before.

I might give up being a lazy student and get up before 9am on a morning :D
My signature was stolen by a moose

    that will be all

trying to get GT James banned since tuesday
  • If I cut anything else out of my diet it'd be ridiculous! Stiill that said I could try cutting out my 2 evening biscuits with tea and have milk and rice cakes instead?
    Gats
  • I don't eat chocolate or drink

So that avatar is not you necking a beer then?!

Me? I'm gonna give up Cream Eggs :-( Now that's sacrifice!

At ny age, what is there left to give up that would have any benefit? Only fags, I suppose - and not bloody likely! Entitled to ONE pleasure, surely?

  • I'm thinking about giving up using the breaks for 40 days so that I might

    a. improve my descending and cornering
    b. lose some weight through all the extra nervous energy (hopefully not by sh1tt1ng myself)

I wish. Thats The Jan during an off season training session (and probably what he spends his time doing since he retired).

That way lies boredom and the beckoning grave, trust me. Only relinquish them if you must, not just for the sake of it.
