    Can't see it being a problem, I'm sure that's what my winter hack is running.

    Shouldn't be a problem. The front mech doesn't 'know' how many sprockets there are on the rear cassette.

    What equipment are you using exactly? I've got an FSA compact chainset (34-50), nine speed SRAM chain, Campag Record ten speed standard front mech, and a Mirage ergo, everythhing works perfectly.

    It doesn't take much fettling to find out, assuming you've already got the bits that is. :)
