Hey,
anyone tried these? It's probably these or Miche Racing/Primato for my race wheels. I was thinking Veloce or Centaur.
Thanks...

Centaur hubs are very similar to Veloce - better to see if you can track down some 2006 model year which use the cup/cone design of the high end models. Miche hubs likely to be sealed-cartridge bearing type too - depends on weight and how much you want to pay.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I built a Centaur 2007 up last week to go with a Powertap front, seemed OK, but I prefer Shi...... I'll get my coat! :twisted:If you're as fat as me, all bikes are bendy.0

The hubs available this year in Campag. are:
Mirage, Centaur, Record.
I have Centaur on a pair of DT RR1.1s which have done very low mileages so far.
They seem good enough. Quiet and smooth ratchet/pawls, solid, reasonably friction free.
Compared to the Vento freehubs, they're quieter.
Compared to Ultegra freehubs - about the same (albeit these have balls/cones).
Compared to Mirage, on paper, they're actually heavier!
The LBS said the Centaurs are much more reliable than Mirage, and in fact recommended them over Record for training wheels, as it's a lot cheaper/quicker to replace the bearing cartridge than it was to fork out for new balls/shells/cones for Record.
Personally, other than the colour, I can't see the difference between Mirage and Centaur hubs.
The '08 skewers require less pressure to operate, are more ergonomic, but have a limited number of positions due to the fact that they foul the mudguard mounts. On balance, I prefer them as I found the 07 skewers less robust and less positive.0
