What size discs??

Hi all.
I'm building up a bike for some heavy trails use...and got 203mm discs with the Hone Groupset I bought.
This is all going on a Marin Wildcat frame, and at the moment i'll be putting a Manitou Black fork on, until I can upgrade to something considerably better.
On another thread someone commented that 203mm is HUUUGE and i'm guessing they were thinking that the Black fork will flex too much.
I'm thinking of changing the rotors to 180mm front and 160mm rear...this sound like a good idea or 180mm all round??
Any help would be appreciated as i've never used hydraulic discs before and haven't got a good idea of the stopping power. The 203mm discs look way too big so i'd be happy to downsize.

just to clear up which Marin Wildcat frame is it? the HT or the fully?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

How much do you weigh? I'm 100kg thereabouts, and use 180mm up front and a 160mm on the back. As for beeing huuuuuuuuuuuuuge, they could well void any warranty on your fork.0

I'm about 11stone on a good day...so about 70kg.
I'm starting to think 160s all round would do!!0 -
yeah, 160mm front possibly 140mm rear to save weight and give you a bit more feel, if less absolute power.0

i would go 180/160."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers guys, looking at the price of rotors they're really quite cheap!!
Think I'll swap them over for 180/160, means i've got to buy 2 adapters as these calipers came with the larger adapters.0 -
I've gone 160/160 for now...that way I don't have to get another adapter for my forks just yet.
If I find the 160 not enough, I'll upgrade to 180 front and then i've got a spare rotor for the rear!!0
