I quite like it except for the blue bits, the central badge and the star not being near enough to the badge.

Sounds like Capello is doing the right job anyway. No mobiles, everyone eats together, no WAGS, no chummy nicknames etc. Makes you wonder why all that wasn't in place before but hey ho. We all knew Mclaren was an amateur when he got the job.

I'm just a bit disappointed Michael Owen isn't playing.

Though apparently he's named as a sub, so ought to get a run-out tonight. Reading the footie headlines on Ceefax over breakfast this morning, one quote from Capello began "I'm not a messiah....". All I could think of at the time was "Life of Brian" :)

  • I am upset that it would appear Wes Brown is playing.

this is the first kit since 1994 that wont ever feature at a tournament. They are bringing out a new kit for the next tournament if we qualify...

why, other than scoring his contribution is pretty thin these days especially since he's lost the pace that scared defenders and gave the midfield more space

    Nice work Matchstick man

Brown's been doing fairly well for the scum at RB... who else is there...really?

Well, that wasn't bad was it....in the end. Looked shaky at the start and better teams would have exploited it but they didn't panic in the second half and created lots of chances. Square one isn't it so its all about building confidence and assurance before any bigger games.

I saw the shirt on TV last night and it didn't seem to fit any of them. It looked like a sack on most of them and Peter Crouch's long sleeves ended well above his wrists. Why can't they make these shirts to fit, Eminem might wear baggy shirts but I don't see why footballers have to.

... or am I just old and out of touch?

  • yes, baggy shorts are cool for football.

    :)
  • I like it. From a neutral point of view its a nice jersey
  • What can we do about the badge?
Face it though, Owen is sh!te now. Shame Gabby Agbonlahor didn't get to play.
Listened to the U21 match on radio and that sounded like a better game than the senior one.

    Can we fix it?
    Yes we can!
  • Funny how the England rugby shirt is skin tight yet the football shirt has gone baggy!
