Yes yet another campy/shim question.
I want to put the 10spd Shimano wheels which are surplus to my best bike after an upgrade onto my 9spd Campag winter bike. What's the cheapest way of doing this with the least aggravation?

Get rid of the campag. Thats the best.

Or cheapest would be to get a new campag hub laced on.

Get a 9 speed Shimano cassette for about £25 and it will work fine. Mine does, even smoother than the uber expensive Marchisio cassette I have set up for Campag.
  • Or try an Ambrosio cassette (Shimano splines with Campag spacing) from Surosa for about £30 - only 10 speed though.

A question back at you all?

Although I do use a Shimano 9 speed cassette on a 9 speed Campag set up, has anybody used a 10 speed shimano cassette on a 10 speed campag set up, as I want to upgrade.

I see no issue given the 9 speed compatibiltiy, but any experiences out there?
