Poploc

looking to buy a Rockhopper next month and was wondering if the RS tora 302 SL forks are Poploc compatible?
If they are, how easy is it to fit? Is it just a case of attaching the cable to the top of the fork leg?

there is a kit that will allow non poplock ready Toras to use a pop lock."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Dont get poploc. I have poploc toras and theyre a bastard. Also nick, do you know of any kit to convert them back to non-poploc?
If you come off you ALWAYS bang your knee on it no matter what angle its at. My original poploc lever broke so i got a new one off ebay. The bit that allows incremental adjustment broke so now ive only got full or off compression, though not really as i doesnt properly go to either extremes, plus the cable end keeps coming off as they are in quite an exposd place, unlike behind the seatube or tucked under your rear mech.
To sum up, they are very gay0 -
just disconect it.
I have my poplock nicely out of the way.
works very well no issues with it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I must admit I never thought I would use the poploc as much as I do....
I got a deal on the Pike's at the time and they came with poploc but I never intentionally wanted it...
It's great though - have really got used to it - so much so I go for the lever even when I am on other bikes...0 -
I find i use lockout quite often on my Bomber MX Comps at the moment, hence why i'd like to take advantage of the Poploc on the Tora's.
What exactly needs doing to the Tora's to make them Poploc compatible?0 -
It needs a new top cap, and part of the damper - the cap becomes spring loaded. Thats why need the kit, not just the lver.0
