Hi,
3 months ago I got me a treck 4300 so that I would start riding again for health and pastime reasons. I have gotten completely hooked and ride every single day about 30km's. I have a problem though, my rear tires keep losing pressure and I have to change them once every 10-20 days.
The reason for this is most probably cos i keep jumping onto pavements and going down stairs, and most of the time at very unfriendly speeds (i get carried away), I also do some moderate off-road trails during the weekends. I keep the tire pressure between 55-60 psi (?), while on the tire itself it says the pressure should be between 45-65. While going up pavements I do my best to not smack the rear wheel but sometimes it happens.
Is there any advice for me to overcome this problem (good tubes, some riding strategy), or do I just have to ride my bike more conservatively, if in fact that is the problem?
thanks loads.
