Spokes won't tighten?

I noticed last night two of my spokes on the back wheel of my commute bike were loose - one was very loose with about half an inch of play. However, when I tried tightening the offending spokes they just kept turning without tightening?

I though the problem might be a stripped thread but to have two spokes not tighten up surprised me a bit?

Anyone know what the solution is?

NB. The wheel is a 4-5 year old Pinarello Duel.

Cheers.

Might be a stripped thread in the brass nipple. If you have the confidence, which it sounds like you do, then get a pair of nipples from your LBS and change them.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I'm not familiar with that wheelset, but could they be straight pull spokes? If so you might need to hold the spoke (padded pliers..) as it could be free to rotate at the hub end.

Thanks, I'll have a proper look tomorrow. Looks like the tyre and wheel tape will all have to come off this time...
