Right i have just brought a Claud butler olympus xt but it comes stock with Shimano XT Dual control levers.
Now i hate them but what i need to know is can i just buy the shimano xtr shifter for the front and back and then get some new brake levers?
I have XT disc brakes front and back.
Is it hard to do changing it all around as im new to messing with parts, used to live in Brum and had a good shop i used to use that fitted everything for me otherwise does anyone know of any good shops round Brigg (about 20mins from Hull) that can do it for me.
Also if i cant just change the brake levers what does anyone recommend, i had hope mono or mini cant remember on my old bike and loved them.

TBH i would PM Andy B on here, he may be on the other side of the 'Umber but he should be able to sort you."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

*appears as if by magic*
I'm on the South Bank of t'Umber, Not sure about any of the shops in Brigg, as I've not used them.
As For Grimsby, I know a few half decent shops if it helps.
There are some forumites from the North Bank on here too, they could advise on decent shops in Hull.
Fitting shifters is quite easy, brakes are a little more difficult, but doable with the right tools & a bit of common sense & a good read of the manual0 -
Yeah that would be kool, can you let me know which shops you recommend, names or whatever you have would be awesome, havent been here long so getting to grips with the area.
Well at the moment it might be best sending it to a shop to do, probably dont have half the tools i would need and makes it easier for me.
Cheers

Minimum tools would include a bleed kit, and if you are un lucky and need to replace the gear inners some cable cutters. the rest is just allen keys and some compressed air to remove the grips."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
