Apologies if this has been on here before, which it undoubtedly has. I'm off to A&E in a minute and also need to call the Police so I'll keep it breif.
Taken out, didn't get registration, headset snapped so bike in bits, one witness who has kindly supplied name and address.

Any advice?

No advice other than contact your solicitors, and get well soon!

No CCTV as far as I'm aware (residential area) and couldn't get car reg, but I have got part of his bumper that was smashed off. This identifies the car as a VW Golf, which a witness said was red, that's about all I've got to go on.

This happened to me in edinburgh at the start of december. 2 broken ribs and a fair bit of bruising and skinned flesh.

Police said they didn't get anything off CCTV, but to be honest, I don't think they even really checked.

I was the same. No number plate, just model and color of van.

Hopefully you can get some restitution from somewhere, because I didn't  and hope your not too badly damaged (watch out for that shock and adrenaline.........youl feel worse later!)

The Motor Insurers Bureau pays out for uninsured or untraced drivers, you can file a claim yourself, but a solicitor (and/or CTC) would be better. I got £4000 from the MIB for a whiplash injury after being hit and run by a travellers bus - no reg number taken.

Thanks everyone, I've put a claim in through the CTC's solicitors, hopefully might get some cash towards new forks, handlebars and headset.
Swapped my lights and mudguards onto my racer last night, so I'm still rolling. I was planning to buy a new racebike this year anyway so I don't mind using it for commuting until I can get the fixed um, fixed.
