I'm looking for a new camera to take out cycling with me, but I dont know what to look for or get. Could you recommend some for me?

It needs to be compact, have a decent amount of zoom, a large screen, and be good for pictures of riders and scenery. I can spend upto £120.

I've seen a canon IXUS 70 which doesnt look to bad.
What do you guys think?

Thanks

  • Just got a Fuji F50fd for the same purpose as that you are looking for: Compact enough to put in the jersey pocket, large LCD, good quality pictures and the main function I was looking for was a possible manual shutter speed for riding pictures. Most compact have no shutter speed override, making it not very bike picture friendly (was the problem with my old Optio 3). Just over your max budget, but should find it for £140 or the older F40fd for the budget you have.

As mentioned above, gets a good review on http://www.dpreview.com
