Well they have Campag freehubs, so your 105 cassette won't fit on. You'd need to change the freehub or get a special after market cassette.

Yeh, but the free hub might cost you £70 to change.

It might be a good buy, but who knows how much it'll end up going for? Do you know how ebay works? There's over 17 hours left yet in which the bidding might increase a lot.

They good wheels, although if you are a bit limp wristed you might struggle to get tyres on and off them.

  • yeah true, so reddragon would i just buy new shimano 105 rear hubs and that would be it? or does it have to be frre hub?

Most of my eBay buying has been for model aeroplane stuff and in that case most of the bidding happens in the closing minutes or even seconds. These wheels could well go for a lot more than the current price.

It's not a matter of merely buying a new rear hub you'd have to strip and rebuild the wheel. Are they carbon spokes? The photo isn't very clear. In any case the spokes may not be the right length for a different hub. I'm always a bit dubious of sellers who don't post sharp photographs. It's not difficult to do.

I think Highpath engineering ( http://www.highpath.co.uk/index.html) may possibly be able to help with converting the Campag sprocket set to Shimano spacing but I wouldn't bank on it.

Unless you're really sure the wheels will do what you want I would leave them alone.

It's not the whole rear hub you'd have to change, it's just the plastic/metal bit that the cassette slides onto, but just that could amount to quite a bit in itself.

To be honest I think buying wheels which you know you will have to modify seems a bit silly (depending on how much you get them for of course). Look on Jedi Sports on ebay and get a brand new set.
