Rock Lobster Team Tig - 853 frame

Is anyone else thinking of getting the latest Rock Lobster Team Tig with the Reynolds 853 steel frame from Merlin? I'd be interested to know how many of you are out there. I can't believe the value it seems to offer with an XT groupset but have not ridden one yet. How does it handle? What are it's weaknesses?

We had one of those ordered in a wee while back, it feels so nice! Everything you couldnt fault, just i dont know how it caters out of a shop.
You should buy it for the Pro2 hub on the rear, its just sex to the ears :P0 -
If nobody here can help, you might want to check the reviews on MTBR.
Worth a punt anyway. If you really don't like the frame (unlikely) you can sell it and transfer all the components over to another frame for a likely net cost of £200 (once youve flogged the Rock Lobster frame).
That's still cheaper than most full-XT hardtails.0 -
Hey - good point chaka ping!
I hope i don't need to do that though - the frame just got 9/10 in WMB and I'm looking forward to the steel - the old back is getting sick of unforgiving Aluminium...http://www.youtube.com/user/stumpy25lbs
