Hi all,
Had bikes for years, but not a proper MTB, have looked at all the reviews on this great site but having difficulty finding the reccomended ones.
My budget is max £250
JJB are selling the muddy fox quest at 250 whihc to me, looks like a bargain, but is it?
Please help a newbie out. Thanks
Listed specs are below

Lightweight oversized ATB frame. Hydroformed down tube at the head tube.
RST Omega T7 alloy suspension forks with disc mounts and 80mm travel.
26" double wall black alloy rims.
Ritchey Z-max comp 2.1 ATB tyres.
Quad alloy hydraulic front and rear disc brakes.
Truvativ ISO flow chainset.
Cane Creek semi integrated alloy a-head headset.
Finished in Anodised grey colour

Have a look at the Mongoose tyax elite, the 2007 model has a fork with hydraulic damping.

They only have it in XL at evans but I think you could find different sizes if you shopped around.0 -

Go and have a look at your local bike shop, ie not a chain store like JJB, they will be able to advise much better and you'll be able to try a couple out (which is essential)0
