Morning all

Hope everybody is cool and groovy today :)

Its time for a new seat as my Titec Ithys is a bit torn and tattered now :( I had been looking at the SDG Bel Air Ti but have read some reviews about it constantly creaking and also more worryingly the rails bending and snapping.

As well as the Ithys I've had a WTB Stealth and have read good things about the Charge Spoon and the Fizik Gobi too.

The seat will be sat on the lovely new Thomson post on my Slayer which I use for XC/trail riding mainly around the north downs area.

Let me know what you think :)

ps: I did see a nice black saddle with red rails though cant remember who it was by, any ideas?
Wow great ship man. Looks like a fish, flies like a fish, steers like a cow.

  • I had lokoed at those but didnt really like any of the graphics and to be honest at that price I'd have reservations not just about how quickly the graphics would rub off to slippery nastiness but also about the overall quality.

i'm waiting for my charge spoon to arrive from wiggle who are supposed to have them coming in the middle of this month, switching to that from a sdg bel-air rl cro-mo. i've got the creaks on the bel-air sorted with some wet chain lube dripped into where the rails go into the saddle shell but i just want something a little more bottom friendly. it's not a bad saddle i just want something hopefully better for those 4 plus hour long rides.
  • Ha ha i've just ordered a charge spoon too after mine died yesterday at ashton court/bristol.
straight to the lbs after the ride and put in my order.
The mag reviews love it and only £20 too.
  • go for the I beam system if you are worried about creaking rails, Wiggle are doing the bel air and sdg post for about £53 a mega bargain. ive been running I beam for ages and its the bees knees.

  • I have the Gobi.Comfy and light, but don`t get one if you are worried about durability.Graphics wore off after forst ride, and front edge has worn through after 18 months use.
