When faced with long queues of stationary or snails pace traffic what is everyone's opinion on passing?

I always go down the outside (at safe speed). People see me more and some actually pull in, whereas on the inside there are all sorts of obstacles, like cars and drunk, unconcious people. I never actaully have to cross the white line but sometimes have problems getting back - jealous cos I'm faster methinks!!

what is the general concensus?

Outside. I also get people pulling left to let me through, always nice.

    Outside!
  • Definitely the outside - especially when you are passing traffic in the left most lane. As a driver I would not expect to be undertaken when I'm already in the 'inside' lane so am unlikely to be looking there!
