2008 Rockhopper

I'm looking to buy a new bike in the next month of so and have decided on either an '08 Rockhopper Disc, or an '08 Rockhopper Comp.
My nearest Specialized dealers are the Bike Factory in Chester, and the Specialized Concept Store nextdoor to it.
Has anyone had any experiance buying from these? Not sure if they're the basically the same shop or not. Which would be better to get the bike serviced with in the future? Which shop am i more likely to get a discount with and what would you say was a realistic amount to get knocked off the price?

my mate swears by getting his bike serviced at the factory, i cant see the logic myself, letting another man fettle with my stead, he might aswell stroke my k0ck while hes at it, i would feel that violated.

Think they are sort of the same shop, just bought a trek fuel ex 8 from the factory and i was more than chuft with the service i got. I got discount on the bike and intrest free finance and very nice set of pedals chuct in, on top of this they had to order my bike in so they lent me a specilaized epic for a week.

The bike factory is tops and Rockhoppers are top banana 2 (I used to have. Will defo be using the factory again even tho i live in Llandudno its worth the travel.

Think u are more likely to get discount in the facory rather than next door

How much was the Trek originally and how much did they knock off?

Is there much difference between the RS Recon Race SL on the Comp, and the RS Tora 302 SL on the Disc? Working out whether the Comp is worth an extra 150 notes

i just got a hopper disk version i was told that its not worth forking out the extra money, i am more than happy with the tora, good fork and the as for the bike, well its amazing!
