Tyre Fitting

I'm trying to get some Conti Ultra Sport tyres onto MA3 rims, but the fit is so tight that I've so far got snakebites in 2 inner tubes, despite using plastic tyre levers. It seems to be almost impossible to get the tyre on, and putting so much force through is clearly just catching the tube and cutting it. Is there some trick I'm missing or is it just a bad combo?

Don't use tyre lever to get the tyre back on. Only use the lever for getting the tyre off.

Just persevere with your hands, you'll get it on. I managed to get some Pro2s on Campag rims using just my hands, just takes a bit of effort.
