Advice on these routes from CDG to Normandy?

I am flying to Paris (CDG) from California in May, 2008. I will be spending the night in Roissy, putting my bike together, and then heading out for Normandy (my eventual destination is Avignon by the end of May). I have mapped 2 possible routes from Roissy to Caen as places to start. Any advice on either of these routes or suggestions for better ones would be greatly appreciated.
