Narrowed selection to a choice of two bikes

I have a lovely £600 bikes for work token heading my way that I can only spend in Halfords (Which rules out a load of good sales deals at Evans etc...)

Anyway, as they can essentially bring in any bike I ask for under this scheme I've been browsing and trying bikes at my LBS's and have narrowed my choice of bikes down to two.

The bike is to be used for a 30 mile round trip commute and then for a 60 mile charity ride in July and as my only bike at the moment is an FS Specialized I feel a true road bike is more suitable for this purpose.

I'm looking at the Specialized Allez 27 2008 http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=86028 £550

and

The Felt Z90 http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=87296 £600

I've ridden both and like the feel of both and I would happy with either bike but I don't know if the Felt is worth the extra £50 over the Specialized.

Which is the better of the two bikes in the forums opinion and why? I will not be looking at another option here as I need to get this bike reasonably soon so I can start training in earnest and as I'm happy with both these bikes I just need to have a more "educated" input before I resort to tossing a coin

Cheers
