Short rides round Malaga area

Looks like we're heading to my brother-in-laws parent villa near Malaga this summer, and having seen some of the locals out on their bikes last time we were there and being very jealous, have decided to take my bike out with us. Question is, are there nice rides near the area - on the searches I've done suggest you need to be heading out a fair few miles to get to the quiet roads, but as I'll be based in Alhaurin de la Torre about 10 minutes SW of Malaga I'll need to be only out for a few hours in circular routes.
If there's not much pleasant cycling to be had locally to this there's not much point taking my bike
