Morning,

I'm thinking of buying one and would be gratefull for any comments from people who have one, have ridden one or knows anything about them.

Such as whether they are any good or not.

With Dura Ace all over them they seem like a bargin. Is this the case?

Cheers, Joe.

I have one, had it about a month now and couldn't be happier with it. Fantastic value for money bike, pound for pound prob the best you can get at that price level. The frame is great, really stiff and great for sprinting and will stay true while riding hard yet its really comfortable over a distance, I'll quite happily sit on mine all day and pedal.

Out of the box its really well speced, the only thing I changed was the stem and handlebars but only because I had better sitting around doing nothing.

It puts a smile on my face everytime I ride it, its a great looking machine to.
  • a friend of mine has one and I've ridden it and though it was very nice. not super light but decent and solid and comfortable feeling.

spec is great with the only weakspot being hte FSA chainset which is honestly not a good chainset and prone to failure. That said, it's not expensive to replace it if you feel hte need so don't let that put you off. I personally would go for it, and then buy either a DA chainset or a Centaur Compact if you want compact.

I've got one. Just. Arrived Wednesday. Haven't ridden it yet, but it looks a lot nicer than it does on the Wiggle website.
Finishing kit lets it down a bit, the brakes aren't dura-ace (FSA energy), in fact the only Dura Ace you get is the rear mech and levers. Front mech is Ultegra.

However these are only minor issues on looks like a great bike.

Having just taken delivery of mine I would mirror that, looks great , same disapoinment as above, Ultegra front mech and FSA brakes, and standard bars not the profile I like, but all upgradable in time.

Stunning looking bike, just need to do it justice now!

Just making a couple of custom changes, ,new dura ace SPD SLs, also just changing out the (too bling) white saddle and bar tape for something iin black (Arione Ti) with red detailing to suit the detailing on the frame

that just said I am just pondering which bottle cages to put on it, some more carbon or some light alloy in black??
    fay ce que voudres
  • Thought to 08 model has a truvative chainset, not like the crappy FSA one on the 06 model that I have.....

I put a Planet X gloss carbon cage on, looks fine, and it's cheap, but probably heresy for some.

Here's a pic (if it works)

  • How do you find those ultremo tyres? Was thinking of trying a pair this season.

By buying the bike - it came with them!

I cant really complain about them. Only 1 p***ture in 500 miles and a lot of those miles on b roads. They roll really well, seem to have very little resistance and have a reasonably high level of grip even in the wet. I'd quite happily replace them with the same again when they wear out.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be funny, I misread your question.
Anyway, far to early to tell, will be using my training bike for a wee while longer.
