I'm wondering about buying Fuji SL-1(C10) and my brother is to get the Team Issue (C7) model very soon. We get Fuji bikes for a very good price so they are definitely our best choice! :)
But still, we are not totaly sure about the quality. We've read many reviews on the net and all we can find are just positive impressions so you get the feeling that a Fuji is a perfect bike. If this was true, then there would certainly be a PROTOUR team riding them.
So...What I want to know is how good these two framesets (C7 and C10) actually are in comparison to some other "big names" like CR1, Addict, Paris, Tarmac S-works, etc... or is these just silly to compare though SL-1 and Team Issue are Fuji's top models.

Thanks for the answers :)

Umm not quite... Pro teams don't choose thier equipement. They are paid to ride thier bikes so that is not a true reflection of what makes a good bike. IIRC there is an American team, not pro tour, that ride Fuji's.

They are by all accounts good bikes though and I think there was a test of one of the models you mention in Procycling recently.

    In a word... Yes

Interesting that you pair Pinarello with Scott though... Fans of Italian bikes will testify as though their life depends on it that their bikes have heritage and passion so would be appalled at your direct comparison with a Scott which is relitavely younger brand.

Having said that the latest crop of scott road bikes, Addict range, are simply good bikes and are arguably easily as good if not better than the Pinarello offering such as the Prince but to be honest when you get into the top end bikes you would be hard pressed to buy badly... Might be worth looking into warranty's as well when deciding on price.

Can't comment on the road models, but I had a Fuji Mt. Fuji SL mtb for a while. Absolutely lovely rocket bike! Lightest out-of-the-box XC racer available a couple of years ago. Yet rode easy and steady.

IMHO... Fuji is one heck of a bike for the $£.. Afterall, isn't this the only frame that Japan has to offer?? So I would consider this to be the 'Lexus' of frames..??

Considering what has been said we can expect that Fuji will certaintly gain a lot of aproval and respect from the most zealous riders in the future. I hope I'll see a Fuji equiped team on "le tour" soon :D Becouse here, where I come from, riders just say "Fuji, what the hell's that; Asian people could never ride bicycles etc..."

Are you riding it or framing it and hanging it on your wall for people to come around and look at? What more can anyone say... they are good bikes!!

Fuji Track Pro. Not a road bike I know, but good enough for a Canadian silver in the 2006 World Track Championships. Standard machine apart from wheels, I had one the same, sold it to a mate last year..

No...I'm just trying to say, that these bikes should have the "renome" that they deserve. :)

Fuji's are really big in the North American market. Their distribution has been spotty in Europe. Sponsoring Pro Teams is really expensive these days. Even Bianchi does not always have a team in the Pro Tour. I don't think De Rosa has either.

There are other great Japanese brands (Fuji's are made in Taiwan), such as Panasonic and Miyata. Some of these have died, others are hard to get hold of. I had a bonded alloy Panasonic that was great fun to ride.

    Enjoy your new bikes...
