Contact the membership secretary, details from the audax site. He's pretty good at answering queries quickly.

I've been out of the Audax loop for a while now but if you're not a AUK member - or a BC or CTC member then the only implication is you need to pay £1.50 extra for your insurance per event.
The event diary on the Audax website is also only fully viewable if your a member, mere punters like me can only see a couple of months worth of rides.0 -
well i'm a fully paid up BC and CTC member so do I get a £1.50 discount...??0

No, you just create a bugger of a problem for both organisations Insurers if you create a claim for them0 -
If you're a CTC member you don't get a discount from the entry fee but you don't need to pay the temporary 3rd party insurance.0

will I need to bring evidence of membership, I only have a membership number to quote. Have a BC racing license sans photograph though... :oops:0

If you miss the deadline for renewing your membership you will probably have to rejoin. This happened to me last year. I missed it by about a week and had to pay and extra fiver.I have only two things to say to that; Bo***cks0

Since shaving my beard off, losing my gut and buying a saddlebag that's the size of a small rodents scrotum I have become ineligble for AUK membership :evil:0

no that's OK, organisers have no means of checking membership of CTC ot BC and rely on your honesty
BTW it's £2 day insurance this year. If you've recently joined you can e-mail the membership secretary and he may be able to tell you your membership number. The organiser doesn't send in your £2 until after the event so you could give him/her 2 cheques and he/she can rip one up if your name appears on the members database in the meantimeGavin Gilbert wrote:SteveR_100Milers wrote:? do you have to be a member to ride an audax???? <thinks potentially £4 and a few days prep going to waste on saturday if so...>

anybody can view the diary for the whole year (and even beyond in the case of LEL); just a month at a time by clicking the month letter on the LH column of www.audax.uk.net/cal
