Tora 302/318 U-Turn available without bosses?

Hi all,

Has anyone seen this fork available anywhere without v-brake bosses? I've been shopping around and can't find any at all. The only 'disc-only' Tora U-Turn I canfind at all is at CRC but it's a 289.

you may have to get it ordered in (so no cheap prices). they have been very popular budget upgrade forks.

Hmm, scrub that, I think it means canti posts! It is an IS fork.

Mine haven't got V brake bosses but mine were from ebay! Tora 302 2007's

I can get a Recon 351 U-Turn for less than a Tora's RRP. Might be the way to go. My understanding is they're almost the same fork anyway.

All the models vary in price - air, coil, coil uturn, turnkey, motion control... depends what you have seen. But on the face of it sounds a good deal! The Recon is lighter than the Tora, albeit a little less stiff.

Ive got the exact ones youre wanting but with the v bosses. Doesnt weigh me down too much.

It's the aesthetics I'm bothered about rather than the weight. Having bosses sticking out would just niggle me.

They dont actually come with the bosses in. Just the threads that the bosses would go in. There are 2 small screws with it that can fill these too so its pretty much flush.
If they are different to mine and come with the bosses in for some reason, just take them out with a 10 mil spanner.

my 302 u-turn 2008 came with bosses. Shame but you can soon get blanking plates to put in there.
