carbon problems need help urgent

bought bike 5 weeks ago and its fantastic but started getting vibration through frame,so took it back to lbs who assured me it was my tyres on tarmac .today whilst cleaning bike noticed gear cable had gouged a groove into the downtube wherei can see the raw carbon what should i do as they built it and caused this problem ,i,m gutted im not a technical guy just race the blody things .should i ask for an exchange?for 2 grand i expect the thing to be biult properly ,its my neck gonna get broke when it fails.supersonic need your advice????

    where has it worn? you say cable? inner or outer? Part of the care is your resposiblity but more info needed.

  • cable has rubbed about 1mm through frame just above bottom bracket i have now now loosened so it doesnt touch but left a dent in frame .ive saved up for a bike this good and it really is fantastic but manual says i should have cable patches included with bike which i never recieved and should not ride if i detect delamination which it has got.feel like crying to be honest

    Carbon frames are often monocoque, which means that all their strength is from the total shape of the frame. If it is this new, take it back to the shop. There is no reason for any cables to be touching a frame on a bike anyway!

  • can,t seem to get picture on but its a carbon rush,also noticed cables have rubbed to bare metal on both sides of the fox fork, do you think they,ll replace or try to patch up?
