Hi,

I`m hoping to do the coast to coast in early June - what tyres do you guys recommend? (I`m currently running Bonty Race Lites)

Nothing wrong with what you've got. It's not that far and it's on normal road surfaces, I wouldn't see any need to change.

Hypocrisy is only a bad thing in other people.

Quite a bit of shale path though, esp the Waskerley Way bit, so I wouldn't do it on something prone to cuts (PR2s and the like).

i did it on 28mm bonty hard cases last april - was great.

There are a few sections where you really think "what am I doing this on a road bike for???" but generally it is fine!

enjoy it - it is a great route!

We did the C2C on 23c tyres pumped up hard, the ones who ran 28c tyres at a softer pressure suffered more punctures in the last 10 miles coming into Sunderland due to broken glass.
