Has anyone seen a review or anything of the new hope 1 LED lights? I've got a friend looking for a light between £50 and £100 on and off road. This thing looks ideal and seems pretty bright going on the lumens being 240 and my hope 2 LED being 300.
"The compact self contained light will be bar mountable (on a new QR bracket) helmet mounted or on a lanyard for general use. 4AA rechargable batteries will give the light upto 240 lumens for 3 hours, with different power settings giving upto 30 hours of usable light. The waterproof, CNC machined casing will be available in different colour options with an expected RRP of £79."
its either that or maybe the cateye el520 which doesn't look as great to be honest and maybe not as good off road.
thoughts? thanks

Also tempted by one of these but waiting to see one a mate has ordered.
I've been told that batteries are important - re-chargeable more like 1 1/2 hours but Duracell around 4 hours?
240 lumens is the same as the Joystick which costs £144 on crc.
If it's for helmet mount then it will be heavier and bigger than the Joystick but at half the price you pays your money and makes your choice.

just for bars and if its the same lumens as the joystick which was commended for its light power then it seems like a good buy. If you get some decent rechargeable's like energizer 2500mah then i think it would last long enough for a ride easily.0
