Check out continentals range (or Scwhalbe) lots to choose from - just make sure you don't get anything too wide0

might be slightly naive of me to ask, but why not to wide??? would it be due to aquaplaning in the wet???I found it hard, its was hard to find, oh well whatever nevermind.

Probably to keep friction to an absolute minimum, aqua planing shouldn't be a problem with any bike tire. The contact area is too small.0

I used a MTB with slicks on my London to Paris ride. Makes a massive difference.
Don't think brand matters really, just keep them as thin and hard as possible. I had 1.25" tyres at 80PSI.

would 1.25s not be too small for some XC rims? would i have to make sure my rim would take a 1.25? you will have to excuse me as this is completely unknown territory to me... the Fatboys look really good, they like slick slicks!!!I found it hard, its was hard to find, oh well whatever nevermind.

Actually, I'm thinking they may have been 1.5s!
