Braze on mech band on adapter

Hello,

Does anyone know of a 34.9mm band on adapter that has a slot (rather than a hole) to allow the front mech to move up and down to take account of compact vs. standard front rings? The braze on on my old bike was slotted for adjustment, but the band on adapters seem to have a hole rather than a slot.

Thanks in advance for help.

Steven

Do you want one like that, or not like that?

That's what I've got on my black and red stealth machine for the centaur mech.

  • Byvirtue of the fact it is band on, you can just alter the height of how high/low you place the adapator on your seat tube?

Doesn't that achieve the same aim?
  • It does achieve the same aim, but my mate doesn't want to screw up his paint in 2 places.

    Thanks for the responses.

Some of the adapters on the market might have a longer slot, if so put the top of the slot in the std ring position then hopefully the rest of the slot will be long enough to cover the compact set-up.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
